I LOVE this time of year and wish that I could take this feeling in my heart and keep it with me all year long!!!! Maybe that should be #1 on my New Year's Resolution list instead of ALL the other ridiculous, lame, retarded things I have on there.

Sisterly Love!!

I LOVE RELIEF SOCIETY!! Last night we gathered together (young and old) and had our annual Christmas party/Enrichment Night. We paraded around in Christmas socks, now when I say paraded, I mean paraded, some sisters were absolutely hilarious. We then fought over the BEST Christmas tree ornament, nobody actually threw a punch but it was great fun!! It's not very often that you get to mix and mingle with such amazing women. When you serve in other auxiliaries at times you feel like you are not a part of Relief Society and that you miss out, but I totally loved the way I felt last night. I am so thankful for this amazing organization, I love it when we gather together, visit, laugh and uplift each other. I walked away last night so grateful to be a part of it all!!!!

MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ME!!!

What a Saturday!!! I FINALLY saw Celine Dion in concert!!!! It was absolutely amazing. Yes - Merry Christmas to me, my favorite sister gave me a ticket to her concert as a early Christmas present. I have been breaking a commandment for quite sometime (thou shalt not covet). I have been so envious of others who have seen this gifted artist. She has truly been blessed with a gift, her vocals are beyond belief and HURRAY for me because I don't have to covet anymore!!!! THANK YOU sweet sister, I had such a great time!! Funny story - This guy threw something up on the stage and after she finished singing a song she went and picked the item up. It was his drivers license, she joked around with him a little and asked him if he wanted it back and of course he said yes. She told him to come and get it, so obviously he was freaking out. He went up to the stage and she asked him if there was something he wanted to say (I am thinking to myself this guy is so LUCKY, a chance of a lifetime) and he turns to her and says..."MY BOYFRIEND REALLY WANTS TO MEET YOU"!!! Yeah - that's what he said - What an IDIOT!!!!!!!(need I say more)

ON THE ROAD AGAIN!!

We have spent the last three weekends on the road, supporting kids makes me tired!! We ended up winning the State Championship Game against Pima!!!!!! HURRAY!!! The score was 66 to 34, we totally dominated!! All the boys played amazing, they are such good kids. It is soooo much fun watching our son, nephew, cousins and neighbors. JT had a great defensive game. I know we eat, sleep, walk, talk, pee @ poo the sport but darn it - it's FUN!!!

This past week-end we made a fast trip to Burley Idaho. Yeah - I said Burley Idaho!!! We went for the wedding reception for Carly and Nicholas. It was neat to see Nicholas neck of the woods!! We really enjoyed our time, even though it was a fast trip. The Mallory's hospitality was greatly appreciated. We are very pleased with our son-in-law and his family roots. Great People!! We decided to leave our 3 little ones with Tara and Ben. Nate gets so car sick and the thought of 15 hours of driving there and back with 3 little ones didn't sound fun. A BIG THANK YOU to Tara and Ben for taking such good care of them.

JT is the coolest 17 year old son I have ever had:) He is always the life of every party! He has waited and waited for this coming Saturday ever since he was a little guy. At times it drives me bonkers, but I love him and I want to wish him the best. I hope he hurts their quaterback...ok not really, but you know what I mean:) I hope his DREAM comes true and they walk away CHAMPIONS!!
I LOVE YOU BUBBA!!

GRATEFUL HEART!!

This past week-end has been absolutely amazing. So many emotions/feelings have run through my heart. It is an experience to marry off a child, let alone your oldest and only daughter. I do have to say that it has been a wonderful experience. I loved being the mother of the bride. I have had a ton of fun planning and pulling off this wedding. Carly was so easy going, which made things nice and I truly enjoyed myself. Her Temple sealing is hard for me to express and put into words. I was so overcome with love for our Heavenly Father and his beautiful plan and ALL that it entails. It was so overwhelming to be in the Temple with all of my siblings and their spouses and others that I love so much. My Dad was able to perform their sealing he was so tender/emotional and there was such a sweet spirit there. Pure Joy - I felt like my heart was going to burst!!!! It was a beautiful day and I am so blessed!!!

Sunday evening when things had calmed down a little, Tim and I were able to talk about our amazing week-end. We both had an overwhelming sense of gratitude and thankfulness for family and friends that eased our burden in so many ways. When you think about all the things that have to take place to actually pull off a wedding our family and friends were there from the beginning to the end. We couldn't have done it with out you, we are so thankful for you and thankful for the many hours that you spent in our families behalf.
WE LOVE YOU!!!

Waiting Up For Kids!!!!

I am sitting here waiting for my 3 year old to GO TO SLEEP!!! He took a late nap (need I say more). I definantly don't sleep when he is in my bed, so I usually just wait it out and try to get things done around the house until he finally calls it a night. I have thought a lot about the many hours my parents (mainly my mom) spent waiting up for one of her children. When you have teenagers you wait up and worry a lot. Thanks mom for waiting up for me. I always enjoyed our late night visits. Then it totally dawned on me that I am not going to have to wait up for Carly anymore. WOW!! That is totally sad, it makes my heart ache. I've spent sooo much time waiting. Waiting for their first step, first word, first day of school, first talk in primary, first football game, first time to pass the sacrament, first prom date etc. So, tonight at 11:50 pm I have decided I can WAIT!!!!!!!!! I AM IN NO HURRY!!

Chocolate Milk and Donuts!!

I Love Conference Time!! We started this tradition many years ago with our children, in hopes that conference time would be a special time for them. Not only do they get to "feast" upon Chocolate Milk and donuts, they also get to "feast" upon the words of Christ, by his living Prophets. It only happens twice a year (and yes that is the only time I buy them). It has been a tradition that we really enjoy and it is one that I hope my children take with them when they leave. I am so thankful for this past week-end and for the spiritual nourishment I received.

Tender Mercies

They happen everyday and today I am very grateful for the tender mercy that my sweet neice Kimi received. I don't know all the details but I do know that she was protected. She was traveling with her college volleyball team and they were in a terrible accident. Their bus was struck by a vehicle and there were fatalities. Everyone on her team was okay, although their bus driver was injured. Kimi we LOVE you and we are so THANKFUL that you were watched over and protected.

Kimi is sooo dang good at volleyball. We believe she could kick butt on the court even in a prom dress!!!

Where has the time gone?

Okay so incase you didn't know our favorite daughter is getting married. Where has the time gone? It seems like yesterday when she was playing with baby dolls, having tea parties and playing dress up.
We blinked and she was driving and getting ready for a Prom date. Where has the time gone?
(Isn't she GORGEOUS!!)

Then before we knew it, she had the look. You know that look that you get when you know you've met "The One". She's so happy and so grown-up. Where has the time gone?

What amazing kids!!!! We know that they are going to have an amazing life together. Their love and happiness is contageous and if you ask her brothers they would tell you they KISS way to much!!haha

Oh My Heavens!!

When something new and crazy is about to happen, our 5 year old Nate-dog has a silly saying. OH MY HEAVENS!!! Well that is how I am feeling about this BLOG thing. It is a new and crazy adventure for me but I am willing to try (with the help of my sister and daughter). I went to an enrichment night where an amazing speaker (Reesa) from the Valley, taught a class on Personal History writing. I hope this BLOG will be a start for me. Sooooo OH MY HEAVENS here we go!!!!
