Scatter Sunshine Floral!!

So I had this crazy idea to open a flower shop.  At one point and time our little town had three of them and then all of a sudden we had none.  I tossed the idea around and gave it great thought (and prayer) and decided to go for it.  I must say that I have felt love and encouragement from my dad through it all.  It was as if he was patting me on the back saying "you can do this", "this will be a blessing to the community and your family"!!  So - we got to work  -ripped out carpet and got the room ready. It is located her at my house in what used to be called the office and it has an outside entrance so it works perfectly.  I officially opened on April 1st.  I opened at a great time with Prom, Mothers Day and Graduation right around the corner.  I have loved every minute of it.  I have especially loved the late night hours with my daughter Carly.  I don't know what I am going to do when she moves away for school.  I will be LOST without her.  I am looking forward to this new adventure called Scatter Sunshine Floral!!

This was a simple arrangement that I did for my sister Tiffani for Mothers Day.  She loves gerbera daisies so I tagged each daisy with one of her kids name on it and found this adorable bucket to put them in!

I HOPE THEY CALL ME ON A MISSION!!!

He is serving in the Boston Massachusetts Mission
He will be speaking SPANISH
He reports July 17th, 2013

Happy Birthday Macky!!!

This poor kid really does get the shaft on his birthday.  It is always during spring break and our schedule/plans are crazy.  We have celebrated it before and after and sometimes we weren't even around to celebrate it at all.  This year he got his wisdom teeth pulled out on his birthday!!!!  But -I just wanted to do a little shout out to my Macky Boy- grateful that he is my son and blessed to be his mother. Grateful for the role he plays in our family and for the example he sets for his siblings.  I appreciate the man that he is becoming.  He has always been a lot of fun, yet he has a serious side too.  He has been a light and example to many.  I appreciate his goodness and his willingness and desire to serve the Lord.  His mission papers are in and we are anxiously waiting!!!  Time  -why does it go by so quickly???   I LOVE YOU Macky!!

A BEAUTIFUL DAY!!! 3-9-13

Well the wedding plans are over and the big event is done but their "forever" is just beginning!! It was a beautiful day inspite of the crazy cold weather.  I am very grateful for family and friends and for the opportunity we had to all be together on Saturday.  There is nothing better then gathering in the Temple to witness the starting of an Eternal Family.  So thankful for JT and Lexie, for their desire to do what is right and for their example to my other children.  My cup runneth over!!! I LOVE the word ETERNITY - it makes me happy:)

Baptism of a GREAT kid!!

On January 5th we were able to witness the baptism of Jack Gaylor.  Jack has been one of JT's best friends forever.  He is such a great kid!!  He has spent a lot of time in our home and we have enjoyed every minute of it. Through the years we have had multiple gospel discussions and we were thrilled when we heared that he was serious about getting baptized.  

I belong to the church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.
I know who I am.  I know Gods plan.  I'll follow him in faith.
I believe in the Savior, Jesus Christ.  I'll honor his name.
I'll do what is right.  I'll follow his light.  His truth I will proclaim.
I have always loved this song - its message has become sweeter to me as I have watched this young man enter the waters of baptism.  So grateful for the gospel in my life and for Jackie Boy !!!!

We are super excited and counting down the days for these two to get married.  They are a ton of fun to be around and we are excited to see what the future holds for them.  It is amazing to me how LOVE gets you through anything and everything.  These two have had a bit of "bad luck" lately (wrecking/totaling a vehicle then purchasing another one to have it break down and cost more money to fix then what he paid for it) but together they will get through.  It is part of life and the beauty of marriage:) I remember being newly married, feeling so poor and wondering how we would make it.  I look back now and realize we didn't have it so bad:)
